Blog Tour stop for the paperback release of “My Lovely Wife” by Samantha Downing

Welcome to the Mom Loves Reading blog and one of the blog tour stops for the paperback publication of Samantha Downing’s 2019 debut novel, “My Lovely Wife”!

I received an advance readers copy of “My Lovely Wife” from Berkley Publishing last year, I read it right away, it just sounded so positively intriguing & exciting! (and I LOVE me a well-written thriller!!)

My arc copy matched that of the hardback with a white, ominous cover featuring the wife holding a knife with her reflection in it, and if you look closely you will see the husband in the knife’s reflection as well. To be honest, I originally didn’t see the husband’s reflection.

I absolutely LOVED this book! It has some twists that I never saw coming, it is compulsively readable, suspenseful, creepy & all without being graphic or gory. I love a well-executed psychological thriller that let’s you use your own imagination without having to go into overly descriptive, graphic detail. Sometimes the less that the author tells us, the better…the creepier. I like the old saying “show them, don’t tell them”. I also LOVE this new black cover which suits the darkness of this eerie tale.
