“The Janes” by Louisa Luna (1/21/20)

The Janes (Alice Vega #2)

Book Synopsis:

The electric follow-up to Louisa Luna’s acclaimed thriller Two Girls Down, featuring private investigators Alice Vega and Max Caplan.

On the outskirts of San Diego, the bodies of two young women are discovered. They have no names, no IDs, and no family looking for them. Fearing the possibility of a human trafficking ring, the police and FBI reach out to Alice Vega, a private investigator known for finding the missing, for help in finding out who the Janes were—and finding the others who are missing.

Alice Vega is a powerful woman whose determination is matched only by her intellect, and, along with her partner Cap, she will stop at nothing to find the Janes before it is too late.
Louisa Luna is writing new classics of crime fiction, and her partnership of Vega and Cap is rightfully joining the pantheon of the most memorable in crime fiction

OMG…just wow! Dare I say this one is better than the first Alice Vega?

This is the follow-up to Louisa Luna’s “Two Girls Down” (which was SO good and was also chosen as a Book of the Month selection in 2019, deservingly so!)
This story deals with sex trafficking which is a huge problem nationwide, but a REALLY huge problem in my area of northern Ohio. As a mother of five, as a woman, as a HUMAN BEING, it literally scares the sh*t out of me.
Alice Vega is so kick-ass awesome and she and Cap are my favorite dynamic duo ever!

Alice Vega #1

The story is well-developed, fast-paced, captivating and unforgettable. A real nail biter that will keep you wanting more, and hopefully Luna isn’t done with our amazing heroine and her crew!

“The Janes” by Louisa Luna is available 1/21/20 from DoubleDay Books!
